Zack is a seasoned field archaeologist with extensive experience conducting Indigenous heritage surveys across Western Australia’s Pilbara, Gascoyne, Murchison, and Eastern Goldfields regions.
His expertise spans historical and maritime archaeology, with fieldwork in both Australia and Vietnam.
Zack is committed to empowering Traditional Owners (TOs) to take ownership of the survey process and manage their heritage, balancing this with a pragmatic understanding of development challenges within current legislative and political frameworks.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Archaeology, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Anthropology from the University of Western Australia.
Zack’s research includes a thesis on complex hunting behaviour on the Burrup Peninsula, contributing valuable insights into Indigenous practices.
