Dr. Jane is an experienced Cultural Heritage Consultant and Archaeologist with an extremely strong academic and research background.
With a PhD in Archaeology and a diverse career spanning several sectors, she combines expertise in historical research, academic writing, and Indigenous engagement.
Jane’s career began in economics, then evolved into education, training, and Aboriginal health before shifting to archaeology.
She specializes in Indigenous cultural heritage, focusing on research and engagement, particularly in rock art studies and archaeological consulting. Jane’s PhD work investigates the rock art of the southern Kimberley, enhancing the understanding of territoriality and identity.
Her multidisciplinary experience allows her to bring a unique, culturally sensitive perspective to her work, contributing to the preservation and interpretation of Australia’s rich heritage.
In her spare time, Jane finds joy in painting, primarily using watercolours and gouache to create beautiful, detailed works of art. She also loves knitting, often crafting handmade clothing for her family members. When the weather allows, she also enjoys tending to her garden.
